What size and type should a thumbnail video be?
Although we can adjust clip frames in search results to any dimensions you want to use on the site, dimensions below show good results in loading and playing. Two thumbnails required for the system. One is in the jpg format and another one is preferably flv-format.

For video 16:9 it can be such dimensions
Thumbnail Image file- width=170 height=95, file size up to 150 kb
Thumbnail Flash file- width=170, height=95,  file size up to 300 - 400 kb
Or
Image (jpg) and thumbnail (flv) - 200x113 px (we suggest to optimize it to 400 kBt)

What size should a preview video be?
Although we can adjust frame to any dimensions you want to use on the site, good results for loading and playing are achieved with a oreview clip for video 16:9- width=460  height=260 or  512 x 288 - px with size up to 2 MBt

What format should a preview video be?
It can be either .swf or .flv-format.
You can also have .mov, and wmv

What format should I use for hi res downloads?
Different libraries define it for themselves in according to the delivery type.

Can I watermark footage during upload?
Because the files are large, watermarking on upload can be very slow. Big-Easy-Footage-Library-Software (BEFLS)  does not provide this functionality as standard; however this feature can be added on request.

What formats do I need for a video library?
BEFLS allows you to define whichever formats you are likely to deliver and then set it up in the system. The system will operate with any format you are going to use.

Can I sell Images and footage in the same system?
Yes, there is combined system which provides the ability to store clips and images within the same system and therefore to provide both type of media in search results.

Can I sell prints with the system?
This functionality is more usual with Image libraries and is not inlcuided as standard in this system. It can be added on request.

Can I use the same system with different domain names?
So far there are no such feature in basic version of our system.

What will it cost to use the same system with different domain names?
It depends on the list of features that are required and the licence you purchase

How does the footage library system arrange for clip downloads?
There are 2 ways for clip downloads to be organised.
1. If the user is registered then a link to download clip is placed to the user's area immediately payment is confirmed. The link remains for a period of time as specified site's business process.
2. If the user is not registered then link for download clip is sent to the user via email. Link can be active or used as many times as specified site's business process. It can be only once, or twice or endless.

How many metadata fields can be imported in the library?
There is no limit in the quantity of the characteristics which describe an image or clip.
The most popular are: clip code, resolution, orientation, property rights, colour/bw, description, keywords.

How does advanced search work?
Advance search is usually specific to each site and goes a long way to differentiating your library from others. It can be simple or complex dependent on your needs; a complex advance search may require extra development cost.

Is there a category search?
There is a standard category search included.

Can I show other collections?
Showing collections is not standard for the system but it can be added at extra cost.

How does the system deal with meta data for search engines?
Adding or editing meta tags is a simple process for any page in the system. Meta tags for the dynamic pages are created automatically on the basis of the name of the clip, keywords and rest of the info. As part of our search marketing services we can introduce sophisticated and integrated SEO if requested

Do you offer a taxonomy service to assign key words to items?
This feature is not included in the basic system. However it can be integrated at extra cost

Is it possible to execute a query by an external webservice (API)?
If you have a contract with another content owner or library we can develop such API.
